Hero Nation Raises Funds to Bring Marvel’s ‘Black Panther’ to Low-Income Youth

Marvel’s Black Panther is going to be a film that not only sets records but breaks them. The film, inviting in every sense, is a long time coming. Not just because of the incredible visuals, amazing score, and indescribably talented cast. Well, it does have something to do with that cast

Well, it actually does have something to do with that amazing cast. Black Panther‘s T’Challa is the MCU’s first black superhero to receive their own film. Not only that, but the cast and crew are predominately black. This opens up the window for fans across the world, both young and old, to see the hero they’ve long dreamed of on the big screen. It’s about time.

This film means a lot to Marvel fans, and a charity recently took it upon themselves to make sure that any community could have access to see the film. Not only to sit in a theater with the movie on screen but to have concessions and treats as well.

Jermaine, creator and founder of Hero Nation, had this to say about the project and its success.

‘We feel moved to eliminate any financial barriers for youth that hinder them from experiencing this highly-anticipated and important film. This includes providing concessions and special gifts. Any support you offer would be greatly appreciated.’

He went on to say, on the same day, that they’d already surpassed their goal. Now, that’s important in itself, but it happened in just 2-hours.

‘I’m excited for what Black Panther is about to do, not just for young black boys and girls, but for everyone. There’s a black superhero, but then we’re going to have more Asian superheroes and more from India. The solution to the problem being: We don’t have enough of this so we’re going to make more. I’m excited!’

Hero Nation will use extra funds to go towards future free conventions, free video game tournaments, and more.
