Here are the 2018 Golden Globe Nominations

TV & Film fans have a lot to be excited about as the 2018 Golden Globe nominations were just announced this morning by Kristen Bell, Garrett Hedlund and Sharon Stone in LA. The Golden Globes, which is one of the most laid back award ceremonies of the season, celebrates the best in Film and TV throughout 2017, some of which haven’t even come out yet! The nominations were full of some lovely surprises and the usual snubs that many will be talking about.
In the TV realm, Freddie Highmore walked away with a nomination for his new hit The Good Doctor as well as newcomer Katherine Langford for her role in Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why. Amazon’s delightful new series, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel walked away with a couple nominations while shows such as The Handmaid’s Tale and Big Little Lies that dominated this past year’s Emmy Awards also swept the nominations. Game of Thrones was eligible this year but was totally snubbed in the acting categories, only walking away with one nomination for Best Drama.
Over in film, Guillermo del Toro’s The Shape of Water and Steven Spielberg’s The Post walked away with nominations in almost all of the major categories, while performances such as Ansel Elgort in Baby Driver and Hugh Jackman in The Greatest Showman received some recognition in the comedy category. Armie Hammer and Timothée Chalamet both received nominations for their roles in the critically praised Call Me By Your Name.
Check out the whole list of nominations in the major categories below and be sure to tune into the show on Jan. 7, 2018, at 8 p.m. ET on NBC. It will be hosted by Seth Meyers.

Having studied Media & Writing at James Madison University, I always knew that I wanted to do some type of creative writing, but being able to write about zombies, Starks, and superheroes on a daily basis for Fan Fest is my actual dream. While I probably shouldn’t be as proud as I am to be so similar to Nick Miller, I do hope to one day write my own “Pepperwood Chronicles’.
