Henry Cavill has always been honest about his love for Skyrim and World of Warcraft. It is no secret that he once ignored Zach Snyder’s call informing him of his getting the role of Superman in Man of Steel, because he was playing WoW. At a recent junket for Mission: Impossible: Fallout, he was asked by IGN what he was playing nowadays.
“The Witcher 3. I just replayed all the way through,” said Cavill. “Love that game. Really good game.”
With the news of, they asked if he’d have any interest in “Absolutely. Yeah, that would be an amazing role.”
It is not clear whether Netflix has cast the actors for The Witcher, but they have not revealed them to us who will star in Geralt.
Henry Cavill could be a great actor for the part but there are other actors who have shown interest in the role of the stoic monster player as well as Anson Mount, Mads Mikkelsen and Josh Holloway.
The character of Geralt is a character we can definitely see Cavill taking on. Witchers are usually in great shape as well, i.e. mutated humans that have been transformed with experimental mutagens in order for them to be faster, stronger, and have better stamina than the average elite human warrior. Geralt’s hair might be white from excessive mutation, and he might be “old” (Witchers have a longer life expectancy than humans).
Do you think Cavill would be a good fit for this part?
