“Just keep swimming!”
With Finding Dory opening in theaters this weekend, the team behind the Honest Trailers, Screen Junkies, released a Finding Nemo Honest Trailer.
We all remember Finding Nemo as the cute 2003 film about the little fishy dad that would do anything to find his son.
But Screen Junkies has taken that cute tale and decided to look at it with their self-proclaimed “warped” sense of humor.
The video begins on a high note as we “Revisit the film that had to spoil its ending in its title so audiences could have a shred of hope to hold onto through 90 minutes of tears and torture: Finding Nemo.” The rest highlights how sad the movie really is and then touching on the real world effects of the movie. Would you eat at a restaurant named Frying Nemo? I wouldn’t.
“Swim along for a powerful message as this neurotic dad learns to let go of his fear that the ocean is trying to kill you — even though he’s totally right — as this children’s movie treats the ocean like a nonstop murder parade full of killer sharks, paralyzing jellyfish, deadly mines, hidden nets, your worst nightmares, and tiny anxious-looking fish that eat your worst nightmares whole,” the voice over recites.
Does that sound familiar? Watch the Honest Trailer below.
