Harrison Ford Playfully Corrects Conan O’Brien on Podcast
Harrison Ford didn’t miss a beat when Conan O’Brien made a humorous mistake during the actor’s appearance on his podcast, “Needs a Friend.”
While discussing Ford’s background, O’Brien held up a notepad and mentioned that he thought Ford had German ancestry based on his research. Ford, examining the notes, jokingly responded, “If that’s the quality of your research—and I imagine it is because right there it says Harrison Ford and then you had to write down Han Solo.”
The comedian admitted that he had indeed written it down, to which Ford retorted, “You can’t f—ing remember that?” The playful banter continued as O’Brien apologized for his oversight.
Ford, known for his iconic role as Han Solo in the “Star Wars” franchise, seemed astonished by O’Brien’s comment about his portrayal. The comedian humorously emphasized that Ford didn’t exactly “pop” in those films, drawing air quotes to emphasize his point.
Amidst the exchange, Ford couldn’t help but take a playful jab at O’Brien’s past television career, asking why he wasn’t still on TV. O’Brien, who famously experienced a short-lived stint as the host of “The Tonight Show,” acknowledged the reason behind his departure with a laugh.
While Ford bids farewell to his beloved role as Indiana Jones in the upcoming film “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny,” he expressed his gratitude for his fans during an emotional interview with BBC Radio 1. Ford tearfully thanked his supporters and expressed how much their support meant to him as he concludes this chapter of his career.
