Happy Birthday, John Carpenter!

The horror world has let out some howls, cries and screams in celebration as today is John Carpenter’s birthday! The legendary Horror Icon has turned 70 today!
A New York native, John is best known for his creation of Halloween (1978) which sparked the horror franchise in ways it had not been before. From the birth of Michael Myers came an entire new era of slashers, and John Carpenter is without a doubt responsible for the incredible works that followed the original 1978 film.
Along with Halloween, John is also known for his work on other horror films such as Christine, The Thing and The Fog; just to name a few.
