Happy Birthday, Andrew Lincoln!
Happy birthday to the one, the only, our zombie apocalypse surviving group leader, Rick Grimes himself, Andrew Lincoln!
That’s right! 44 years ago today, this wonderful man was born in London, England and was originally named Andrew James Clutterbuck. Once he began to seriously study acting, he took on the stage name of Andrew Lincoln.
The Walking Dead fans everywhere know him as Rick Grimes, the fearless leader on the hit AMC series. Prior to his time on The Walking Dead, Lincoln starred in several British television series and dramas before eventually making his way to the big screen. His role as Mark in Love Actually was really a breakout role for Lincoln, gaining him international recognition. Of course, we all know and love him from that super adorable cue card scene. Lincoln recently reunited with the cast of Love Actually for the Red Nose Day fundraiser special.
In addition to being a fan favorite in film and on The Walking Dead, Lincoln is also a frequent guest and fan favorite at the Atlanta and London Walker Stalker Convention events. When he is able to attend, Lincoln donates 100% of his proceeds from his appearances to charity. He truly has a heart of gold!
Andy, we wish you the happiest of happy birthdays today and hope that each and every one of your birthday wishes come true! Enjoy!
