Now that the gang is back together and they are setting the stages on fire and touring the world (and my heart), it’s time for them to have some new milestones on their musical timeline. Forbes announced that Guns N’ Roses is the most successful ‘musical act’ of the 1980s and 1990s on YouTube. All of this because of their music video of ‘November Rain’ which is the first music video in the 1990s that hit a billion views! I grew up with this band, to see that their music is still so significant makes me feel like there is hope for the music industry.

November Rain‘ came out 26 years ago, and it showed an Axl rose getting married in de 9-minute video. In 2017 alone this video has around 560.000 views a day, which is insane if you think this video came out so long ago.

That’s not the only thing they can party about, they also set a record on their song ‘Sweet Child O’ Mine,’ the track that came out in 1981 got 692 million views which set their title as the most successful band of the 1980s too.

You can help contribute to their view numbers by watching the 9-minute video of ‘November Rain’ below.

The most successful music videos after ‘November Rain‘ are ‘Zombie’ by The Cranberries (739 million views) and Nirvana with their song ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’ (727 million views).

What do you think of the record that Guns N’ Roses now holds? Let us know in the comments below.
