On Monday morning Marvel Studios gave all of us a huge treat by releasing a sizzle reel of the MCU’s Phase 4! The sizzle reel featured all kinds of crazy good news, including some first looks and title, reveals! We got new footage for Shang-Chi and Black Widow as well as our first look at The Eternals! Then a bunch of release dates as well, which was awesome! This includes information on the third Guardians Of The Galaxy film! The Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3 release date and logo have both been revealed! We got a cool logo and the release date, which is May 5, 2023. It’s a little ways off but that’s not a huge deal! We have so many other Marvel movies coming out between now and then we might not even notice!
If it feels like we’ve been waiting an extra-long time for Guardians 3, it’s because we have. The film was actually supposed to start filming several years ago. Instead of starting filming, the film lots its director. It was actually a huge deal at the time. Some actors, like Dave Bautista, even threatened to quit if James Gunn was not brought back. Luckily, eventually, Disney decided to bring him back and he will be finishing off this trilogy himself. That is honestly a Godsend because I don’t think the film would have been the same without the director. Not to mention he’s obviously incredibly passionate about the project. The reason the film is delayed even though Gunn was hired back is that he’s busy. He’s actually finishing up The Suicide Squad right now for DC which is set to debut this August.
If you miss the Guardians that much you’ll see some of them a bit sooner than Guardians 3. In Thor: Love And Thunder we’ll see a few of the Guardians pop up there!
Alexander is passionate about everything related to gaming, comics, television, and film. You can usually find him watching some kind of DC show and can also find his writing on Multiversal News, something he’s helping to build.
