‘Gotham’ Writer and Producer Teases Joker Origin Episode

The production of the fifth and last season of Gotham has already started a few weeks ago. The producers and writers have been giving us sneak peaks and little teasers of what is to come in the next season. Because this is the last season, they sure are going all out in their story. We will hear the name ‘Batman‘ in this season and according to Penguin himself, Robin Lord Taylor we’ll see Bane and Magpie on screen.

The writer and producer for Gotham Tze Chun, took to Twitter already a few times to tease the coming season. The first time he Tweeted the front of the script of episode 7, he used a hashtag saying #Joker. That was soon deleted and replaced with many clown emojis, which still means the same thing.

The episode is called ‘Ace Chemicals,’ which is a dead giveaway on what’s to come. Are we going to see a Joker origin? We haven’t seen many origin movies (one to be specific, from Tim Burton‘s first Batman movie in 1989, and don’t forget we’re getting a new one next year October). It would be amazing to see the real Joker come to life where he was created.

We’re excited to see where this season will take us and how Ace Chemicals will fit into the storyline of the Batman prequel series. I’m still very much hoping on a Batman spinoff show, even though I know we might never get one. I’m sure I’m not the only one hoping for a Batman TV show as I know many people want one to happen, and quick.

What do you think we’ll see in this episode? Let us know in the comments below.

Gotham will air on Fox somewhere in 2019; there are no clues on when the last season will air yet.
