Return to the Walking Dead universe with beloved characters Rick Grimes and Michonne, portrayed by Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira respectively! Already in production, it is reported that filming began covertly last February 13th at a New Jersey location. Adding to her accolades as an accomplished actor, Danai Gurira will also be credited as one of the creators behind this much-anticipated spinoff series – she’s writing for it too! Get ready for an unforgettable experience featuring two iconic figures from The Walking Dead world.

The spin-off centers around the enthralling love story of Rick and Michonne, as reported by ComicBook.com states that season one will include six episodes to be released in 2024 through AMC and AMC+. Get ready for this captivating series!

What Lies Ahead For Rick and Michonne

Following Rick’s mysterious disappearance in The Walking Dead‘s Season 9 finale, viewers have been yearning for his return. Despite Daryl and Michonne’s attempts to locate him, he seems to have disappeared without a trace into thin air – that is until the November 2022 series finale when we finally see Rick again!

The Walking Dead spectacularly concluded with the return of Andrew Linloln as Rick Grimes, who had been surviving on a beach for years and sending out messages to his family in a bottle. The series may have ended, but don’t worry – Michonne and Rick will continue their romantic journey in an upcoming spin-off!
