The long-awaited Fortnite seasonal competition, The Fall Skirmish, is scheduled to begin on 21st September 2018.
Depending on their in-game skills, players will stand a chance to win money. Aside from Fall Skirmish, players can also win cash prizes on Showdown Royale, which will be hosted in early October by Epic.
Just like Summer Skirmish, the stakes are high, towering at $10,000,000 over the six-weeks it runs. Epic described the competition as follows:
The new approach for Fall Skirmish will include both Competitive and Entertainment play formats. We’re looking to incorporate some of these new formats into our large-scale events in 2019. During Fall Skirmish, players will proudly represent themed teams and earn points based on their performances in both play formats. Each week will pose new challenges like white-knuckle ATK races, masterful golf outings, mini-games, and of course high skill competition every weekend.
This week, look out for more information Epic is set to release, including information about the format for the Fall Skirmish’s first week.
TwitchCon is happening from the 26th to 28th October, so players will get updates every week about what they should expect through that event.
At the moment, details about the Showdown Royale are minimal. All players will have access to the Tournament System.
As October approaches bringing season 6 of Fortnite with it, we are sure to know more information!
