Gal Gadot in Talks for Post-World War II Revenge Thriller ‘Ruin’

Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot is certainly keeping busy within the DC entertainment universe with the new Justice League film scheduled to be released this year and with the highly anticipated Wonder Woman sequel which has not yet started production.

Deadline Hollywood reported the news that Gadot is also in talks to take on another film in between the two DC projects.  The star is reportedly in talks to star in a film called Ruin.  The film is directed by Justin Kurzel (Assassin’s Creed) with a script by Matthew and Ryan Firpo.

Deadline describes the upcoming film as follows, “Ruin is in the vein of Inglorious Basterds and Fury, a gritty period revenge-thriller. A nameless ex-Nazi captain navigates the ruins of post-WWII Germany. Determined to atone for his crimes during the war, he hunts down the surviving members of his former SS Death Squad.”

With the Justice League film already wrapped and production not the sequel to Wonder Woman not expected to start until the summer of 2018, Gadot could certainly squeeze this film into her busy schedule.  Production on Ruin is expected to begin in early 2018.

Previously, Gadot was previously thought to be circling Deeper, a film with Bradley Cooper though no further details have been released.  Deeper would also be starting production during the 2018 calendar year which could conflict with her other scheduled projects.
