Fast and Furious stars Gal Gadot and Dwayne Johnson are having a mini-family reunion! The pair, who both appeared in Fast Five and Furious 6 together, will be teaming up to star in the upcoming action film titled Red Notice.
Not much has been released about the film but Deadline described the plot as “as a globe-trotting, action-comedy, heist thriller designed as a three-hander between Johnson, Gadot and another male star who’ll soon be set. Gadot plays a brilliant and mysterious figure in the art world.”
The film also reunites Johnson with his Skyscraper and Central Intelligence director Rawson Marshall Thurber who will be directing Red Notice from his own original script. Thurber’s original scripts have consistently been a hit in Hollywood, which resulted in Red Notice being the subject of a huge bidding war before ultimately going to Universal Pictures.
The film marks Gadot’s first starring role since she completely knocked it out of the park in 2017’s Wonder Woman, of which she is currently filming the sequel. Johnson has quickly established himself as one of the most profitable and diverse actors in Hollywood with nearly 9 films currently in development including sequels to Box Office smashes such as Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, San Andreas, and a Fast and Furious spin-off alongside Jason Statham.
Red Notice will begin shooting next April in Europe and will be released worldwide June 12, 2020.
Having studied Media & Writing at James Madison University, I always knew that I wanted to do some type of creative writing, but being able to write about zombies, Starks, and superheroes on a daily basis for Fan Fest is my actual dream. While I probably shouldn’t be as proud as I am to be so similar to Nick Miller, I do hope to one day write my own “Pepperwood Chronicles’.
