Funko Pop Reveal Alien: Covenant Figures
Alien Day on Wednesday was a big deal for fans of Ridley Scott’s Alien franchise. Not only were they treated to an exciting short-prologue that links the upcoming Alien: Covenant to 2012’s Prometheus, but Funko have now revealed a new line-up of Pop Vinyl figures to accompany the film.
The collectibles, according to the official Funko blog, are set for a June release. They include two different Xenomorph figures – one of which appears to be covered in green blood and will only be sold at selected GameStop stores. Also included in the collection are Daniels (Katherine Waterston) and android David (also known as Walter), both characters are believed to act as protagonists in the movie.
One figure that is interesting to look at is Billy Crudup’s Oram, which will be exclusively available at Hot Topic. The character’s face is attached to a disturbing looking facehugger that throws itself onto him during the Covenant trailer. Does this hint that Oram, similar to John Hurt’s Kane in the original 1979 Alien, might not be able to be saved from the facehugger?
