Great news, Deadpool fans: the second coming will arrive sooner than expected!
20th Century Fox announced today that it is moving Deadpool 2 to a May 18th release date, one week before Disney’s Solo: A Star Wars Story hits theaters. Deadpool’s new release date will pit it against horror flick “Slender Man”, leaving its original June 1st date without a film opening.
Fox also surprisingly announced that it is pushing New Mutants back ten months from an April 13th release date to February 22nd, 2019. The also pushing the Gambit solo film once again from February 14th to June 7th, 2019. The news comes just after the revelation that director Gore Verbinski had exited the film earlier today. This marks the third time Gambit has been pushed back, Fox originally securing two release dates of October 6th, 2017 and January 12th, 2018.
