Watch the Creepy First Teaser for ‘American Horror Story: Apocalypse’

The eighth season of American Horror Story has just released its first teaser and this upcoming season looks incredible.

The first look at the new season comes in the form of a 45-second teaser video. Complete with that classic and creepy American Horror Story vibe, the teaser introduces viewers to the season eight theme, Amerian Horror Story: Apocalypse.

The teaser starts out with video of what appears to be a sonogram of a fetus attached to what looks to be a blackened, beating heart. The heart type organ catches fire and combusts creating a massive explosion. At the base of the explosion, we see two figures lying in a crater together. One is wearing a surgical mask while the other is wearing a gas mask. Both figures then mysteriously melt away. The teaser only gets more bizarre from that point forward.

The whole video culminates with the symbolic sands of time running through an hourglass. Upon further investigation, however, the “sand” is actually made up of human skulls. It’s totally creepy!

Check out the teaser below.

The show’s upcoming eighth season will be a crazy crossover event which American Horror Story fans have been wanting. The season, titled Apocalypse, will combine the show’s first season, Murder House and the show’s third season, Coven which has opened the doors for many familiar faces and characters to return including series staples Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, and Kathy Bates.

It has also recently been confirmed that Jessica Lange will be returning to the American Horror Story world for at least one episode in the upcoming eighth season in order to reprise her season one character Constance.

The eighth installment of the series, American Horror Story: Apocalypse, will premiere on September 12th on FX.
