Five New Games Join the Xbox Game Pass This Month

Xbox Game Pass continues to grow as five new games are being added to the service before the end of February.

Both Batman: Return to Arkham and Headlander will be added to the service tomorrow, February 21st, 2019, as was previously announced. Batman: Return to Arkham contains the remastered and complete versions of both Arkham Aslyum and Arkham City, making it an excellent addition to the Game Pass lineup. Having recently played through both games I can assure you that they continue to hold up and are worthy of your time. Also, I still believe that the condensed setting of Arkham Asylum leads to it being a better game, despite most gamers seeming to prefer Arkham City. Good news is with this bundle, you don’t have to choose between the two – you get both!

Batman: Return to Arkham

Headlander is essentially another Metroidvania type game, but since Metroidvania type games are awesome, I’m not complaining.

Newly announced for the service is Alien: Isolation, Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two and The Walking Dead: Season Two.

Alien Isolation

Alien: Isolation is a fitting tribute to the classic Alien series and likely to scare even the most hardened of gamers. Tip: Try to play with the lights off and headphones on – go ahead, I dare you.  Alien: Isolation provides a unique and tense experience, sure to keep you on the edge of your seat.

Epic Mickey 2

Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two is the sequel to the incredibly popular Epic Mickey, although with slightly diminishing returns on gameplay and creativeness. Still a good time passer and a welcome addition to Xbox Game Pass.

The Walking Dead: Season Two

Finally, The Walking Dead: Season Two will be added to the service on February 28th, 2019. Telltale’s second part in their soon-to-be-finished story, The Walking Dead: Season Two is a great story mixed with tense scenes and creative choices. While I didn’t enjoy the second season as much as the first, it is still a great game and works in expanding the story and giving Clementine a more prominent role as we begin to watch her grow up.

A full list of games available on Xbox Game Pass can be found here. Pricing for the service starts at $9.99 a month and currently Xbox is running a special where you can get two months for only $2.00. You pay for the first month and then will be given your second month free, afterward your account will revert to the $9.99 a month plan unless you cancel before the end of the 2-month period. You can view that deal here.
