Fear The Walking Dead: Addressing The Madison Clark Rumors! Could We See Her Return!?

Published on June 1st, 2021 | Updated on June 1st, 2021 | By FanFest

For the last few weeks rumors have been circulating that Kim Dickens, Madison Clark, would return to the show. So far these have not been confirmed, but fans have been hoping for some time now. Now, Michael E. Satrazemis, the co-executive producer of the show and the man who directed the episode when Madison left is addressing the Madison Clark rumors.

The last time we saw Madison she was sacrificing herself to keep her children, and others safe. The issue is that Madison’s death occurs off-screen, which has led fans to speculate that she never really died.

Satrazemis spoke to the Talk Dead To Me Podcast, directly responding to a question about fan reactions and Madison’s death.

“You can’t ignore fan reactions, I mean, I have an Instagram and I put out a photo every episode to thank people and you get responses. So I read them, I try not to take things too hard one way or the other, and everyone’s really pretty pleasant. I do get the people that will say ‘bring Madison back’ five times in a row. There’s a huge group and she’s a very important and strong character and I get it. I understand, but all of it’s kind of flattering to me.”

Satrazemis went on to say, “I think if we can elicit strong emotions from people, that’s what we’re trying to do as creators. That’s the majority of what I’m doing is trying to create emotions and keep people attached to humanity and make people feel things. I don’t necessarily care what emotion I create. I would love to make everyone happy all the time, but that’s not how stories work, especially in the apocalypse.”

Satrazemis seems to enjoy directing character deaths. He’s directed several major character departures on both The Walking Dead and Fear The Walking Dead. These include characters such as Lizzie and Jesus. Most recently it includes John Dorie.

“I’ve been through a lot of character deaths over the last 10 years, and I would say that Kim was better than anyone else. It’s really difficult. It’s really, really difficult to go through that … She was the most professional [actor] ever, period, just charming to be around and acted her ass off, right to the very end.” Satrazemis said while referencing the Madison actress.

If there’s one thing that really has fans speculating about Madison, though, is the fact that the people behind the show refuse to confirm she’s dead. Andrew Chambliss and Ian Goldberg, the two guys responsible for Fear, spoke to ComicBook.com previously, where he refused to admit she was dead.

What do you guys think though? Could Madison still return at some point in time? We certainly hope so! At least they’re addressing the Madison Clark rumors!
