Everyone loves a good cast reunion, especially one filled with star power. Such a reunion took place between the main cast members of Father of the Bride this past weekend in Nashville. Actors Steve Martin, who played George Banks, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, who played Annie Banks, and Martin Short, who played Franck Eggelhoffer, posed for a cute picture backstage at the Grand Ole Opry.

Martin and Short, who also starred together in Three Amigos, are currently on tour together and were performing in Nashville where Williams-Paisley resides with husband Brad Paisley. “Loved seeing my former costars @stevemartintogo & @themartinshort at the Opryhouse tonight for their show in #Nashville,” Williams-Paisley wrote on Instagram.

The film was released in 1991 and was followed up with a sequel in 1995, Father of the Bride Part II, which starred all original members of the cast. In 2016, Martin talked to Entertainment Tonight regarding rumors of a possible third installment. “I don’t think that’s gonna happen,” he said. “I’d have to play a grandfather — do I want to do that? Yeah, of course I do, but I think we’ve seen enough.”

“But, you know, I think another generation will make that movie again,” he added. Father of the Bride is a remake of a 1950 Spencer Tracy and Elizabeth Taylor movie of the same name.
