The Fast & Furious franchise is no stranger to the trope of revealing secret family members with each sequel. Fast X follows suit by introducing a new character, Isabel, played by Daniela Melchior, who is revealed to be the sister of Elena Neves, portrayed by Elsa Pataky. This revelation takes place after an intense race where Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and Isabel face off against other racers, including Jason Momoa‘s Dante. As the race unfolds, it becomes apparent that Dante is testing Dom, and Isabel’s life is put at risk. Dom manages to save her, and later, it is confirmed that Isabel is Elena’s long-lost sister.
While Elena never mentioned her sister in previous films, Dom was aware of Isabel’s existence. This family connection adds another layer of intrigue to the Fast & Furious universe, continuing the tradition of unveiling previously unknown relatives.
Fast X also maintains the franchise’s tradition of post-credit scenes. In this case, there is one mid-credits scene, which occurs shortly after the initial batch of credits. There is no scene after the full credits, leaving fans satisfied with this exciting teaser.
Directed by Louis Leterrier, Fast X boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including Vin Diesel as Dominic Toretto, Michelle Rodriguez as Letty, Tyrese Gibson as Roman, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges as Tej, Nathalie Emmanuel as Ramsey, Jordana Brewster as Mia, Sung Kang as Han, Jason Statham as Deckard Shaw, John Cena as Jakob Toretto, and Scott Eastwood as Eric Reisner.
