With only four months until the eagerly anticipated sequel arrives in theaters, Marvel has done an excellent job of keeping Black Panther: Wakanda Forever under wraps. However, yesterday saw a deluge of leaked promotional artwork hit the Web, with two images in particular generating a lot of buzz, excitement, and interest.

Only a few months after Attuma was revealed in all of his Atlantean grandeur, Tenoch Huerta’s Namor the Sub-Mariner appeared as a mock-up. Naturally, Marvel fans went into ecstasies when they saw the beloved character brought to life (and looking suitably fierce in the process), but it didn’t take too long for the whole thing to devolve into Marvel vs. DC tribalism.
The rivalry between Arthur Curry and his half-brother Orm will undoubtedly flare up when he returns to our screens in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom next year, and if you believe the heated debate going on over on Reddit, the superhero genre will not rest until one comic book king of Atlantis has been declared superior to the other.
At the very least, Aquaman has the benefit of being the most lucrative DC adaptation ever produced, whereas we’re all anticipating Namor to be Black Panther: Wakanda Forever‘s primary antagonist. Merchandise is frequently how a slow drip-feeding of information regarding a big-budget project begins, but with just over three weeks until San Diego Comic-Con, it would be smart to hedge our bets on official pics or footage being unveiled to the masses when Marvel takes the stage in Hall H.
