Hollywood’s Next Epic Crossover: John Wick vs. Tyler Rake?

With the success of the John Wick franchise and its expanding universe, fans have begun to speculate about potential crossovers. Charlize Theron previously expressed her interest in seeing her Atomic Blonde character face off against Keanu Reeves’ iconic assassin. However, with Atomic Blonde now belonging to Netflix, that possibility seems unlikely.

Meanwhile, anticipation is building for the release of Extraction 2 on Netflix, where Chris Hemsworth’s resilient character, Tyler Rake, will return to the screen. The idea of a showdown between Rake and Wick is undoubtedly tantalizing, but who would emerge victorious?

In an interview with Collider, director Sam Hargrave was posed this exact question, and his response may not be entirely surprising.

“That’s like the greatest question of all time. I mean, that’s tough because, you know, I’m partial to the character of Tyler Rake. I’m gonna take away John Wick’s bulletproof suit and I’m gonna give it to Tyler Rake. The dude’s a badass, so there’s no debate.”

While the winner is hard to determine, the loser would undoubtedly be anyone and anything within a 10-mile radius, given that both Rake and Wick are prone to leaving behind catastrophic collateral damage. We can only dream, but it would be a hell of a sight to see unfold onscreen.
