Margot Robbie’s bat-wielding Harley Quinn stole the show in last year’s Suicide Squad, so much so that she’s already attached to two spinoff projects including the Gotham City Sirens, which would partner Quinn up with Poison Ivy and Catwoman, and a drama surrounding Harley and the Joker’s (Jared Leto) tumultuous relationship. All of this is in addition to the already confirmed Suicide Squad 2.
If you’re thinking to yourself ‘that’s not nearly enough Harley Quinn’ then you may be in luck because it now looks like we will be getting one more dose of DC’s villainess, but this time it’s just going to be her. While talking to MTV News about her upcoming projects, Robbie revealed her plans for a solo Harley spinoff:
I’ve been working on it for two years now. I mean, it’s hard to kind of talk about it because all of this stuff is kind of like under lock and key. But, yeah, I’ve been working on a separate spinoff thing for Harley for a while now.

Based on the fact that Robbie’s been working on the project for two years, it would appear that this has been an idea since about the time Suicide Squad began filming.
What are your thoughts on the third possible Quinn spinoff?
Having studied Media & Writing at James Madison University, I always knew that I wanted to do some type of creative writing, but being able to write about zombies, Starks, and superheroes on a daily basis for Fan Fest is my actual dream. While I probably shouldn’t be as proud as I am to be so similar to Nick Miller, I do hope to one day write my own “Pepperwood Chronicles’.
