Fans were furious when Evangeline Lilly, star of Ant-Man and the Wasp, showed up at an anti-vaccination demonstration in Washington D.C.
To the consternation of the internet, Lost actor and activist Evangeline Lilly attended a protest in Washington D.C. to protest COVID-19 vaccine requirements. Marvel’s Wasp shared images from the demonstration on Instagram, saying that being “pro-choice” on vaccine requirements is the same as being pro-choice in other areas. Lilly’s position is that it is up to each individual what they should and should not put in their bodies.

This has the potential to cause Marvel Studios and Disney a lot of trouble, given that Letitia Wright was delayed from filming Black Panther: Wakanda Forever owing to an injury and reported on-set squabbles over her own vaccination skepticism.
Lilly’s post has triggered a mixed reaction among fans, with many expressing their anger on social media.

I was always blah on Evangeline Lilly. It is why I didn’t watch Ant-Man movies. I just never cared for her but I hope Hollywood and everyone else gives her the same energy they gave to Letitia Wright. pic.twitter.com/7t3jY6n3ag

There could be a problem with potential recasting, as Letitia Wright has purportedly stated her desire to leave the Marvel Cinematic Universe because of the vaccination issue. Given that Lilly is an A-lister and well-known member of the MCU cast, especially after such a generally positive reaction to her part in the universe, she might be tough to replace.
Despite this, Lilly may take solace in the fact that other celebrities share her opinions, such as Wright and Gina Carano.
Evangeline Lilly is to Paul Rudd what Gina Carano is to Pedro Pascal

It was previously announced that Evangeline Lilly would reprise her role as Janet van Dyne in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, which will premiere in 2023.
