Enola Holmes 2: Netflix Reveals Synopsis and New Information for the Sequel
In the coming sequel to the critically-acclaimed 2020 film, Netflix is ready to bring back the youngest (and undoubtedly brightest) detecting sibling, Enola Holmes.
The Enola Holmes 2 shoot has now completed, and the sequel is expected to be released later this year. While the film has yet to have an official premiere date, Netflix has finally revealed the first plot summary detailing the perilous challenges that await the main character.
“Now a detective-for-hire like her infamous brother, Enola Holmes takes on her first official case to find a missing girl, as the sparks of a dangerous conspiracy ignite a mystery that requires the help of friends — and Sherlock himself — to unravel.”
After her mother’s mysterious vanishing, Enola flees home in the first film. While her elder brother Mycroft is adamant about sending her to a finishing school to make her a proper lady, she’s too preoccupied with looking for her missing mother and uncovering who is attempting to murder the young Viscount Tewkesbury (Louis Partridge).
She finds out where she wants to use her life at the conclusion of the tale: be a detective, and “finder of lost souls.”
Netflix has also published a sneak peek of Enola Holmes 2 in the trailer marketing the major releases of 2022 (watch below). We see Brown’s return as the title character, along with Henry Cavill’s returning Sherlock, but there is one minor drawback: we still have months until the film arrives.
