The hype is real surrounding American Horror Story season 8, and one of the series’ fan favorites is creating quite a buzz on Instagram teasing the return of her iconic character.

On Sunday, Emma Roberts posted a brief but amazing video to her Instagram page teasing her involvement with the upcoming eighth season and the return of her character Madison Montgomery from AHS: Coven. The video shows Roberts wearing a black outfit with a white collar and long medallion necklace. She appears to be in character already but then eliminates any doubt that she’s channeling Madison Montgomery by quoting her iconic line from Coven, “Surprise bitch, bet you thought you’d seen the last of me.”

Roberts then tweeted along with AHS stars Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson and creator Ryan Murphy during Murphy’s other FX series Pose.

Recently, Murphy announced the theme for season 8 would be a murder house/coven crossover.  “Murder House” was the theme for the very first season of American Horror Story (and my personal favorite season of the series) while “Coven” was the theme for the series third season. Both featured an impressive cast including series mainstays Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters. Both Paulson and Peters have been announced as returning for the upcoming season eight. In addition to Paulson and Peters, the legendary Kathy Bates will be returning as well. The three will be leading the cast of the Murder house/coven crossover season and, just maybe, Roberts will be joining them.

American Horror Story returns to television this September on FX!
