Ed Sheeran Might Cameo in ‘Star Wars: Episode IX’, Too

Musician may get to live out all our dreams for a second time.

Sheeran has cameo’d in one of the hottest TV series and now he might have his legs in the biggest film franchise of all time.

If it’s true, he’d join the ranks of Simon Pegg, Tom Hardy, Edgar Wright, Daniel Craig, Prince Henry, Prince William, and even Carrie Fisher’s pup Gary.

According to The Sun, Sheeran has filmed undercover as a Storm Trooper, of all things. That means we won’t know when he appears. Only him and the crew will be able to point him out, unless we can tell that he’s shorter than the others. At only 5 feet 7 inches, he might be the shortest Storm Trooper ever. That also lends itself to the news that we’ll be seeing a ton of Storm Troopers in the film-but that’s kind of already a given.

The film has been filming since August, and it’s said that he has filmed several scenes at London’s Pinewood Studios.

Daniel Craig’s cameo was also as a Storm Trooper in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Tom Hardy and the princes were dressed in the white armor as well for The Last Jedi, but their scenes never made the cut.

Many characters will be returning for Star Wars: Episode IX including the main cast Daisy Ridley, Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver, Kelly Marie Tran, and John Boyega. Mark Hamill is also returning to reprise the role of Luke. Fans were happy to hear that Billy Dee Williams and Carrie Fisher will appear as Lando Calrissian and Leia (via archival footage) as well. It’s looking more and more like these appearances won’t be featured as heavily as fans are hoping. The film, after all, will star Daisy Ridley and Adam Driver in the forefront.

In the 2 hour and 15 minute film, we can look forward to scenes featuring new characters by Matt Smith, Kerri Russell, Richard E. Grant and Naomi Ackie. Rey, Finn, Rose Kylo Ren and Poe also have to take up a good chunk of it,

What we know for sure is that this will be a forever farewell to Luke Leia and Lando.

Star Wars: Episode IX hits theaters on December 20, 2019.
