‘Doom Patrol’: Matt Bomer to Voice Negative Man for DC Universe
The Doom Patrol cast is complete.
Matt Bomer has been cast in the upcoming live-action drama that will be available on DC Universe, the new digital platform.
Bomer is set to play Negative Man in the series.
Greg Berlanti and Warner Bros TV are producing it, and Brendan Fraser announced the news last week during New York Comic Con.
Bomer will do voice over for Negative Man, and will also appear in flashback scenes as Larry Trainor.
The character’s bodily performance will be done in costume by Matthew Zuk.
Jeremy Carver is writing the film which centers around one of DC’s oddest group. The Doom Patrol is a team of misfits with a long history. This year will mark the 55th anniversary since their comic appearance. They have long been compared to Marvel properties, most specifically the X-Men. They premiered 3 months before the X-Men, in the summer of 1963.
