It’s almost time to start gathering with your friends and start signing ‘That’s how you Know’ in sweet celebration as Disenchanted, sequel to Disney’s Enchanted has neared script completion- 11 years after the first film was released!
At a Television Critics Association panel, director Adam Shankman expresssed his excitement on bringing Gisele into our lives once more:
“We are handing in a script in a couple weeks that I’m super happy with. Then gotta get the music written,”
According to Shankman, Disenchanted will have about the same amount of animation as the first film, but there will be more songs to us to happily sing along to. The sequel for the romantic comedy starring Amy Adams and Patrick Dempsey is for sure a long time coming.
“The fundamental story has changed a little bit, but not from the base story of it,” Shankman said. “It’s about Giselle 10 years later going, ‘What is happily ever after?’”
Although no release date for Disenchanted has been announced the news is nonetheless exciting!
