MILD SPOILERS FOR WONDER WOMAN BELOW
Warner Bros’ Wonder Woman tells the origin story of our favorite Amazon, Diana Prince, but did the film intentionally reveal the origin of another DC character?
ComicBook.com‘s theory is that the serum Dr. Poison created for Ludendorff to restore his strength may have introduced Batman villain Bane into the DCEU. In the comics, Bane came into contact with the drug – known as Venom – in Pena Dura prison as part of an experiment. The experiment nearly killed Bane, who discovered the serum increased his physical strength, taking it every 12 hours through a system of tubes pumped into his brain, otherwise he would suffer debilitating side-effects.
Bane has proven to be a formidable nemesis of Batman both on-screen and in video games, nearly killing him. Check out one of their intense fight scene from Arkham Origins:
What do you guys think of this theory? Will we be seeing Bane in DCEU’s solo Batman film?
