Did Jared Leto Really Give Margot Robbie A Rat

At this point, the story is basically a myth, one we’ve believed in for many years. For a long time now we’ve heard that while filming Suicide Squad Jared Leto was a little… kooky. I’m going to use kooky because I don’t want to use any worse words. Jared Leto is undoubtedly a fantastic actor but it sounds like sometimes he gets a little too into his work. Sure, it probably helps contribute to his greatness but some boundaries should be respected. Reportedly during the filming of Suicide Squad, he gifted Margot Robbie a dead rat, which his co-star was not too happy with. Did Jared Leto REALLY give Margot Robbie a dead rat, though? I guess we’ll never know for sure but now we’re hearing conflicting reports.
The rat isn’t the only gift he reportedly gave. We’ve heard in the years since the film’s release about all kinds of things he gave to other people working on the film. He apparently sent condoms and anal beads, too. We’ve even heard the rat was dead, but that apparently wasn’t true either. In an interview with GQ, Leto denies that is what happened at all. He claims he gave her a living rat, which he kept. Or at least… that’s what he told E! in 2016. He said later on that some of the gifts weren’t necessarily odd, some were nice!
“I never gave Margot Robbie a dead rat. That’s not true. I Actually gave her [food]. I found this place in Toronto that had great vegan cinnamon buns, and that was a very common thing.” is what Leto said. It would make sense, considering the man is himself a vegan.
Jared Leto will be playing the titular Morbius in the upcoming film and has even said he would be willing to reprise his role as Joker if asked!
