‘Dear Evan Hanson’: Ben Platt Passes the Torch to Noah Galvin and Taylor Trensch

Tony winner Ben Platt of Dear Evan Hansen will be taking his final bow on November 19. Taking over for him are his close friends Noah Galvin and Taylor Trensch.
Galvin will be performing for a limited time beginning on November 21 and Trensch will pick up in mid January.
Both actors will make Platt proud. Galvin is best known for playing Kenny O’Neal on the ABC sitcom The Real O’Neals and Trensch is no stranger to the stage, having made his Broadway debut as Boq in Wicked in 2012.
To keep things from getting sad, the trio made a “groovy” music video to Earth, Wind & Fire’s “Getaway,” ’70s clothes and all. The video is not only fun, it acts as a passing on of the torch from Platt to Galvin and Trensch. Check it out below!
