Sorry fighting fans, you will have to wait a few extra weeks to play Team Ninja’s next brawler.
Here is the official tweet from the Dead Or Alive Twitter account—
DEAD OR ALIVE 6 will now be released worldwide on March 1, 2019.#DEADORALIVE6 #DOA6 #KTfamily pic.twitter.com/Q97mWLM4W2

February 15th was one of the biggest days in entertainment for gaming this year (so far). Metro Exodus (which got moved up), JumpForce, Crackdown 3, Far Cry New Dawn were all going to release on that day, along with Dead Or Alive 6 originally. It was going to be an extremely crowded day.
In my opinion, Team Ninja made a smart move. Not only would you be in a fight for floor space against a few bigger names, you would also be going up against another fighting game in JumpForce that arguably has more buzz surrounding it. This is similar to several games last year, including Call of Duty Black Ops 4, pushing their dates around where Red Dead Redemption 2 was. It’s a competitive industry, but a big triple A title can absolutely kill any chance of sales as well as the shot at a sequel.
Another thing that could come out of this, a beta. Check out this tweet from a few days before-

Perhaps taking some extra time for polish could encourage the developers to give fans some time with Dead Or Alive 6 to get some feedback. Nothing has been confirmed as of this writing, but a few smart decisions like these could result in a couple more copies sold when Dead Or Alive 6 hits the shelves. Speaking of shelves, Dead Or Alive 6 will now sweep the leg on March 1st, 2019.
Are you disappointed in the delay? Maybe you were waiting for a demo before you made a purchase? Tell us about it in the comments below, just don’t punch your keyboard to do it. Just results in a jumble of letter and and numbers.
