David Beador’s Wife Lesley Now Says She’s Filing For Divorce After Claiming He Filed A Dismissal

“While this is not what I would have ever expected, it is what is best,” Lesley Beador stated in a since-deleted Instagram post on Tuesday night.

It looks like David Beador and Lesley Beador are getting a divorce after all.

On Monday, January 15, one week after Lesley claimed that David was pulling out his divorce filing, the mother of three published a message on her personal Instagram account to announce that she was taking legal action to terminate their 23-month marriage.

38-year old Lesley took to social media to announce her divorce, writing that while it wasn’t what she had expected, it was for the best.

On October 15, 2020, Lesley and David, both 57 years old, married in Kentucky. Anna Love Beador is their 19-month-old daughter. She also has two children from a previous relationship.

“I value myself and the happiness and well being [sic] of my children,” she declared in her essay. “I am so grateful for a tremendous circle of friends and family who support me. Looking forward to a bright and happy future with my beautiful kiddos.”

According to reports, members of the publication have been in touch with David as well as his attorney, Michael J. Monarch. A request was also made to Lesley.

David first filed to legally end his marriage with Lesley on September 15, which also would have been his wedding anniversary with Shannon.

In the initial court documents obtained by PEOPLE, David cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split. He requested joint physical and legal custody of their daughter and noted that a prenup was in place for dividing up their assets after divorce.

A few days after Lesley posted on her private Instagram Story, David filed a request for dismissal.

Although the online court records have yet to be updated, a representative from the court told PEOPLE that there is no timeline for when non-urgent requests will be processed.

The Beadors first announced their relationship to the public in January 2018 and have been living together between Orange County and Park City, Utah (where David has a home) ever since.

At the time, sources told PEOPLE that Shannon was “blindsided” by David’s new relationship. The pair had split only four months earlier in September 2017 after more than 17 years of marriage.

Lesley was very public about her relationship with David and documented it on Instagram. They even made headlines when she shared a nude photo of the two of them on Nov. 9, 2019.

“My kids all saw it at school,” Shannon later told the crowd at BravoCon, her daughters Sophie, 21, and twin girls Stella and Adeline, 18, whom she shares with David. “They were horrified.”

That’s not the way David remembers it. “My kids called and we laughed at the selfies Lesley posted,” he told PEOPLE. “It’s amazing how much Shannon talks about me and my life. She needs some peanut butter to go with her jelly.”

Months later, in January 2020, David and Lesley were back in the limelight when she announced their engagement. He proposed just nine months after his divorce with Shannon was finalized.

Mail-order bride Lezlie is planning on getting married in two years. She shared the news with her Instagram followers, posing with a shirtless David in a selfie. She also uploaded a photo of her then fiancé and his enormous diamond, along with the message “Looking forward to eternity with my love. I LOVE YOU LOVE!!!”

“Yes, Lesley and I are excited to be engaged,” David said of his relationship with Lesley in a statement to PEOPLE. “We are celebrating in Miami and then going to the Super Bowl.”

They planned to announce the birth of their baby in July 2020, which PEOPLE did. Daughter Anna Love was born on February 5, 2021.

Shannon tried to make amends with David, sending him and Lesley a newborn present for Anna Love, but that effort ultimately failed. According to Shannon, Leslie rejected the present and there was no relationship between her and the two. In March 2021, on Jeff Lewis’s SiriusXM radio program, she stated that Lesley rejected the gift and that there was no connection between her and the pair.
