Dave Grohl and his mother Virginia Hanlon Grohl are going to work together on a documentary series based on Virginia’s book, From Cradle to Stage: Stories from the Mothers Who Rocked and Raised Rock Stars. Variety reported that Live Nation Production would lead the production while the Foo Fighters frontman and his mother will be executive producers.

The book ‘From Cradle To Stage,’ came out in April 2017 and featured multiple interviews with other mothers that went through the same thing she did in raising a rock star. She interviewed mothers like Patsy Noah (Adam Levine’’s mother), Verna Griffin (Dr. Dre’s mother), Janis Winehouse (Amy Winehouse‘s mother), and many more.

“I’m excited to introduce the viewing public to the strong, loving women who have supported the insistent dreams of their musical sons and daughters. Their backgrounds vary greatly, but they have so much in common. Viewers will join all the mothers around a table when they meet for the first time at a celebratory dinner where secrets and stories will be shared and compared.” – Virginia Hanlon Grohl to Variety

Dave Grohl commented on the news:

“I’m beyond excited to join in on the next step of my mother’s project to explore the stories of other musicians who were as fortunate as me, having been raised by such amazing women. Plus…I owe her one.” – Dave Grohl to Variety
