Dave Chappelle Sings a Cover of Radiohead’s ‘Creep’ at SNL Afterparty

Last night’s SNL was one for the record books.  Not only was it Dave Chappelle’s first time hosting the comedy sketch show but, it was the first episode to air after the conclusion of one of the most historic and emotional Presidential Elections in history.

Chappelle delivered as host of the show with an impressive and powerful opening monologue, hilarious sketches and even reviving some of his old Chappelle’s Show characters for an awesome nod to The Walking Dead‘s newest bad guy, Negan.  All in all, as host, Chappelle and musical guest A Tribe Called Quest led the series to achieve its highest ratings yet this season.

But the good times didn’t stop there.  After the show had wrapped, the cast headed out to The Cutting Room in NYC for the afterparty.  Questlove, front man for The Roots, was there and posted a video to Instagram showing Chappelle rockin’ the party with a cover version of Radiohead’s Creep.  Seriously, is there anything this man can’t do?  Questlove posted the video with the caption, “In a life full of highlights? I’m glad I waited til 5:22am for this…” fully capturing just how iconic the impromptu performance was for those in attendance.

Chappelle has famously been absent from the spotlight and has been maintaining a low profile for years now.  His appearance to host SNL was one of the most highly profiled gigs he has done since the end of Chappelle’s Show in 2006 and we are so glad he’s back!
