Danai Gurira to Star in ‘Avengers: Infinity War’
If you’re a huge fan of Danai Gurira on The Walking Dead, for the general badassery she brings to the series as Michonne, you’re going to love the news that broke earlier this morning about her next role.
While we know she’s got a role in Black Panther, Marvel’s highly anticipated film with a cast so incredible that we’re already hailing it one of the top 5 films of 2018, she’s been cast in another Marvel film as well. Any guesses to where she’ll appear after her breakout role in the comic book universe as Okoye?
If you guessed Avengers: Infinity War – you’re right! While we’ve yet to so much as hear her speak a line of dialogue as Okoye, she’s heading to Infinity War as Black Panther’s head of security and leader of Dora Milaje. If you didn’t know yet, the Dora Milaje is the all-female royal guard. Talk about making quite an impression, the role seems to be made for Danai.
