Crumbies are Taking Over ‘Sesame Street’ in this Adorable Parody of ‘The Walking Dead’

Sesame Street isn’t always for kids.  Of course, at its core, the show is about learning and nurturing the minds of children watching at home but, every once in a while, the show throws in a little something extra for the parents that might be watching along with their little ones.

Just recently, Sesame Street put together an amazing skit involving Cookie Monster, gingerbread man cookies and, for the adults out there, The Walking Dead.  Yes, you heard that correctly.  Sesame Street actually parodied The Walking Dead but they did so in the most adorable way.

In the below video, Cookie Monster looks to be playing the role of Rick Grimes or, in this case, he’s Sherrif Graham.  Sherrif Graham is suddenly swarmed by a massive herd of gingerbread men and women who only have one thing on their minds – eating all the cookies!  Sherrif Graham escapes the hungry cookie herd and meets up with characters closely resembling Daryl Dixon and Michonne.  muppet Daryl and muppet Michonne warn Sherrif Graham about the “Crumbies,” cookie monsters who exist as a result of a bad batch of gingerbread cookies.  Given Sherrif Graham’s (aka. Cookie Monster) obsession with cookies, this clearly poses a huge issue for the group.  Every time Sherrif Graham is overcome by the urge to eat some cookies, the Crumbies swarm.

Their only hope for survival is to make it to the Cookie Safe Zone.  Here, they meet up with a Governor type muppet and the parody really kicks into high gear.  You’ve got to check this one out for yourselves!  Watch The Walking Gingerbread below in the video below.
