Could Charlie Hunnam be the DCEU ‘Green Arrow’?
Earlier in March of this year, when he was originally asked by an overwhelming amount of DC fans if he would be interested in taking on the role of Oliver Queen aka The Green Arrow, his response was that playing a superhero “wasn’t part of his vision for his career or what I aspire to be.”
After completely dominating at his role in the titular role in Guy Ritchie’s King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, fans have once again been requesting for Charlie to considering taking on the role.
In a recent interview with Omelette, the topic of playing Green Arrow came up and this time around, Hunnam seemed completely open to the idea.
“You know, I’m not a comic book fan so I don’t really know the Green Arrow. Do I look like him? Have they made a Green Arrow film? … Well, come on, DC, what’s up? Give me a call!”
This reaction was a completely different this time around; exciting Sons of Anarchy and DC Universe fans alike.
For now, we will have to await for Oliver Queen to make his appearance in the DCEU universe. In the meantime, we can continue to enjoy the stellar performance by Stephen Amell on The CW’s Arrow, which will have its Season 5 finale on May 24th.
