News for Fans, By Fans!

Could a ‘Deathstroke’ TV Mini Series be in the Works?

For seasons upon seasons we begged for his return, and now he is finally back with us. When Manu Bennett reprised his role as the infamous Slade Wilson aka Deathstroke, the Arrow fandom went crazy. His presence was one that was dearly missed, and he completely dominated the role.

While we are awaiting for him to come back this current season on Arrow (he’s currently off searching for his estranged son Joe), we recently got some exciting news in regards to one of our favorite DC villains.

At a London convention over the weekend, actor Manu Bennett revealed that he’s had high-level discussions regarding a spin-off Deathstroke television series. While nothing is officially announced at the very least, it’s been seriously talked about somewhere at Warner Bros.

While at MCM Comic Con in London, Bennett revealed at a panel that he and Arrow showrunner Marc Guggenheim have “talked about” a Deathstroke TV series:

“It would be awesome. If we could make it R-rated, if we could maybe leap onto another network platform that we could be at that level, make it Logan-esque and all that sort of stuff, Marc and I could write that series.”

Hoping not to get fans too excited, Bennett clarified that it’s neither his nor Marc Guggenheim’s decision to make. However, Bennett is confident in the fan base, and knows that fans all across the world would be totally game for it.

Let us keep our fingers crossed, my fellow nerds! This would be totally awesome!
