Last week, we received the exciting news that Arrow would be returning for a Seventh Season. As if that were not exciting enough, we just got some even better news today! The CW has listed a familiar face as a regular for Season 7 – Colton Haynes!
Last month Haynes reprised his role as Roy Harper, who fought alongside Oliver Queen as crime-fighting vigilante; Arsenal.
“We’re very fortunate and excited to welcome back Colton to Arrow,” the show’s executive producers said in a statement. “While we’ve always enjoyed Colton’s returns to the show, we couldn’t be more thrilled to have him return as a proper series regular — and we’re very excited about all the creative opportunities Roy Harper’s return affords us.”
Haynes is also extremely exciting to be back, recently stating: “I could not be happier to return to my role as Roy Harper alongside my Arrow family.”
In the current ongoing sixth season, Roy returned to Star City just in time to help Thea deal with a new threat. After defeating a rogue member of the former League of Assassins, Thea and Roy left with Nyssa Al Ghul to find and destroy the three remaining Lazarus Pits. Which begs the question… if Roy is coming back, what has become of Thea?
We are extremely exciting to see Colton make a grand return as a season regular – from the looks of it Oliver will be needing his friend now more than ever!
