Not only are Falk Hentschel and Colton Haynes superheroes on screen – they’ve proved they’re heroes off-screen too after coming to a fan’s aid when she had a seizure.
Birmingham Mail reported that Haynes rushed to the aid of a fan, Louise, who was in town for City of Heroes 2, held at the Hilton Metropole, Birmingham, this weekend. Haynes was attending the event along with Arrow cast members: Stephen Amell (Oliver Queen), Emily Bett Rickards (Felicity Smoak), Charlotte Ross (Donna Smoak) and John Barrowman (Malcolm Merlyn).
Louise told the Birmingham Mail:
“Luckily my sister-in-law was behind me and caught me. I had two seizures in a row. I came out of one and went into another one Colton was behind me and, at one point, he had his arms around me. He was telling me that it was going to be OK, not to cry and not to get upset about it. He actually helped me up as well. They took me outside for some air and a guy who was with Colton came outside and helped me. There was a medical student also helping me. They calmed me down and made sure I was OK.”
After the ordeal, Louise posted her thanks to Haynes on social media.
Another Good Samaritan who helped Louise was actually another superhero– Falk Hentschel, who plays Hawkman in DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow. He ensured that the space around Louise remained clear, so that she could be provided with the proper medical attention.
With all the negativity that seems to be happening in the world, stories like this really warm my heart 🙂
