The stakes are raised in tonight’s third episode of Colony season 2. Lives are put at risk and sadly some are lost.
The action takes place again in three different locations: an Authority Labor Camp and Distribution Center, the Santa Monica Bloc, and the Los Angeles Bloc. Let’s take a look at what is going on in each location and who is there. Could some character show up in more than one place?
Authority Labor Camp and Distribution Center
Bram is still imprisoned at the Labor Camp. Things are not going his way when he falls victim to a sneak attack from other laborers who steal his work boots. We find him moving freight on the loading dock in his bare feet.
His new friend Maya tells him she knows who stole his boots and nods in his direction. Bram confronts the other prisoner and a fight breaks out. Snyder arrives with a taser before Sgt. Jenkins can break up the fight. Bram is pulled from the chaos and thrown into a cell.
Sgt. Jenkins pulls Bram from his cell and takes him to Snyder. Snyder tells Jenkins to leave. Snyder offers Bram a nice meal, which he devours quickly, followed by an offer of another sort.
Snyder explains that he, too, wants to get out of there and maybe the pair can help one another. Bram learns (with a few hints from Snyder) that stealing is becoming a big problem. Fights are conveniently breaking out on the loading dock, presumably to create enough distraction for other prisoners to skim off the inventory.
Snyder needs to address the stealing. So he wants Bram to be his spy among the prisoners. Bram agrees and returns to the warehouse where Maya gives him a replacement pair of boots. He begins grilling her about why she lied about who stole the first pair. He points out that the guy she accused has much larger feet than Bram. Hmmm, caught in a lie?
Santa Monica Bloc
Will returns from annihilating Solomon and his crew. Devon is panicked pointing out that Solomon has partners. The threat does not end with Solomon’s death. They must act quickly to get Will and Charlie out of Santa Monica Bloc.
Will now has a target on his back, so it will not be easy to leave undetected. Devon shares that she plans to leave as well and she knows one person who may be able to give them a way out. But she says Will won’t like it.
They meet with a coyote (as Charlie calls him) who will help them over the wall. That’s right, not through the wall, but over the wall. It’s a scary proposition and a costly one. Devon offers her home and provisions in exchange for the escape route.
The breach will take place over the wall at a location through the mountains where the wall stands about 150 feet tall. The guide has a drone to get the ropes in place and says that they can go undetected on top of the wall. The group spends a night in the hills and Charlie finally asks Will why he did not pick him up on Arrival Day. Will holds him tight but does not say anything.
Devon leads the way up followed by Charlie, then Will, and then a couple of others trying to make their way out. The group is about half way to the top of the wall when a drone arrives and zones in on the climbers. Boom! The drone takes out the two men below Will. Boom! Devon is the drone’s next fatal victim.

Will embraces Charlie and tells him that he loves him. Will braces for the drone’s next blow. The drone stops and appears to analyze its next victims. But then it disengages and flies away. Will and Charlie are left alone hanging on the wall.
Los Angeles Bloc
Back in the Los Angeles Bloc there is a devastating attack on a Red Hat recruitment center. The Resistance blows up the building and takes the lives of every collaborator in the vicinity.
Dan Bennett turns up the heat on Jennifer. Jennifer contacts Katie imploring her to give up Broussard. The two clandestinely meet at a swap meet where Katie tells Jennifer about the bug at Homeland. She says that’s all she can give her.COLONY — “Sublimation” Episode 203 — Pictured: Kathleen Rose Perkins as Jennifer McMahon — (Photo by: Isabella Vosmikova/USA Network)
Katie visits an interfaith center and talks to the group leader about the rift between her and Maddie. The leader points out that blood will often prevail if pride is put aside.
Katie brings home books of many different faiths to share with Gracie in hopes of teaching her to think for herself and not feel like she has to follow the teachings of Lindsay about The Greatest Day movement. Gracie enjoys the exploration and time with her mom.
Maddie brings Nolan to a location she proposes as a worship facility for The Greatest Day. The two are seemingly become a power couple within the movement and discuss plans for many more facilities.
Katie decides to put her pride aside and talks to Maddie about Homeland contacting her and asks her to take care of Gracie should someone come for Katie. Maddie agrees and Katie explains to Gracie that it is best for them to return to the Aunt Maddie’s.
The bug is uncovered at Homeland, but that’s enough to appease Jennifer’s new boss. Jennifer contacts Katie for a meet at the park. Katie explains that she really cannot get to Broussard but agrees to turn herself in to Homeland after Gracie is settled in the Green Zone.
Katie and Gracie return home and pack for the Green Zone. They are startled by someone at the door. In walk Will and Charlie and the four are reunited. Will and Katie share an ambiguous look. The credits roll.
We have so many questions for next week, but here are just a few:
- What happens now with Katie’s plan to turn herself in?
- Can Katie and Will heal their marriage?
- Do Bram and Snyder make progress with their plan?
- Will Charlie acclimate to life in Los Angeles?
- Where is Broussard?
See you next week to run down another exciting episode of Colony on USA Network!
