‘Bond 25’ Adds Christoph Waltz

The production for Bond 25 has been a strenuous and long process filled with disruptions and delays. However, some very exciting news has been confirmed by Variety and Daily Mail.

Another familiar face will be returning to the franchise. Christoph Waltz will reprise his role as Ernst Stavro Blofeld in Bond 25. Blofeld recently appeared in Spectre, but has been previously played by Donald Pleasance, Max Von Sydow and Telly Savalas.

It’s not clear what role Blofeld will have in Bond 25. Since he helped orchestrate many of the events in prior movies, it would not be a surprise if Blofeld was, yet again, responsible. Interestingly, when we last saw Blofeld he was being arrested by M, so seeing him appear again raises a few questions. How did he escape? and what has he got planned next?

Bond 25 is being directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga and stars Daniel Craig, Rami Malek, Ana De Armas, Lashana Lynch, David Dencik, Billy Magnussen, Dali Benssalah, Jeffrey Write, Ben Whishaw and Rory Kinnear.

Production was briefly delayed after Craig injured his ankle in Jamaica and further delayed after an explosion at Pinewood Studios injured a crew member. However, it seems as though production is back on track. The 25th James Bond movie is scheduled for release in April 2020.

What villainous role do you think Blofeld will take in Bond 25? Let us know in the comments.
