Chris Hemsworth Shares New Clip From New Netflix Movie, ‘Extraction 2’

In just a few days, Tyler Rake will be making a comeback on Netflix. Extraction 2, the highly anticipated sequel to one of Netflix’s biggest original films, is set to premiere on Friday, June 16th. Chris Hemsworth returns as the lead, portraying the mercenary Rake, who finds himself embroiled in another perilous mission. The teasers and trailers released so far have promised a thrilling and action-packed extravaganza, and a brand new clip only heightens the excitement.

On Sunday night, Hemsworth took to social media to share an exclusive clip from Extraction 2, ahead of its release. The clip showcases Tyler Rake on a cargo train, preparing for a confrontation with a helicopter. Check out the clip in the video below!

“I got the go-ahead to release a never-before-seen clip to my fans on social media for #Extraction2! Thanks @netflix. Now enjoy Tyler Rake kicking some ass and watch the full movie on June 16,” Hemsworth wrote.

While Extraction 2 is filled with challenging scenes and stunts, there is one particular stunt that had Hemsworth feeling a bit scared.

“There’s always risk going into those scenes. The one that scared me the most was being on top of a moving train that was going 40 miles an hour, and having a helicopter 20 feet in front of me, flying backward, and Sam in the middle filming the whole thing,” Hemsworth shared with AP. “It’s full of experiences like that, but I think it gives the audience authenticity and truth to the adrenaline, as opposed to shooting on a green screen where everything’s fabricated and post-production built. This is real, you know? We’re sweating, we’re anxious, we’re nervous, intimidated, and that’s what’s being captured.”

It appears that the exciting train/helicopter scene Hemsworth mentioned may have been captured in the clip he shared.

Extraction 2 reunites Hemsworth with director Sam Hargrave, who previously worked as a stunt coordinator and second unit director for Marvel Studios. The Extraction films are produced by Joe and Anthony Russo, known for directing Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Avengers: Endgame. Joe Russo also wrote the screenplay for both films.
