Chris Evans Joins ‘Infinity War’ Press Tour with GMA Appearance

While the press tour for Avengers: Infinity War has been awesome, a notable figure has been absent for a lot of it. Chris Evans is busy with his incredible play, Lobby Hero, and has been scarce in interviews for the film.

However, over the last couple of days, we’ve heard a bit out of Evans concerning Captain America, Infinity War, and what’s coming next. In a discussion on Good Morning America, he said this about his contract ending at the conclusion of Avengers 4.

‘Well, the contract is done. A lot of our contracts are through.’

He went on to say that most of the heroes who started at around the same time have contracts that wrap up around the same time.

‘Myself, Downey, Hemsworth, we all kind of started roughly at the same time, and I think we all, through Avengers 4, kind of wrap it up. So at this point, I don’t know what’s next, but yeah, by 2019, that’s it.’

Michael Strahan jumped in with the sentiment we all share, saying that we hope there’s still more to come.

‘We hope that’s not it, we hope there’s more.’

Evans replied with a smile and a bit of a giggle, followed by a vague response. One we’re going to look forward to with a sense of hope.

‘We’ll see, we’ll see.’

They joked about renegotiations starting with that statement, but the truth is, we won’t know anything until Avengers 4 wraps. We would love to see Evans in the future of the MCU in whatever way that’s possible for Steve Rogers. Well, in whatever way that’s possible aside from only appearing in flashbacks.

We aren’t that picky.

Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters on April 27th.
