Chris Cornell: Musicians Paying Tribute via Social Media
After the news broke early this morning about the sudden passing of Soundgarden and Audioslave front man Chris Cornell, we are still shocked, saddened and trying to absorb the news that he is gone.
Since the announcement, many friends, family, fans and colleagues have been paying tribute in the own way. The most touching one I have seen is from Cornell’s longtime friend Chester Bennington of Linkin Park fame. Bennington posted the following:
With all of my love @chriscornell. pic.twitter.com/NFz0dnxfp8

On my deathbed I will pray
To the gods and the angels
Like a pagan to anyone
Who will take me to heaven……And on I read
Until the day was gone
And I sat in regret
Of all the things I’ve done
For all that I’ve blessed
And all that I’ve wronged
In dreams until my death
I will wander on~ Chris Cornell, Audioslave
