Check out the Captivating Trailer for TNT’s new Drama ‘Will’

The life of William Shakespeare is one that has always held a high public interest. The poet and playwriter stands as perhaps the greatest writer to use the English language and also the best-selling fiction author ever. If you look up Shakespeare on any website, he’s hailed as the aforementioned as well as the ‘dramatist of his time.‘ While his talent is known all around the world, his personal life remains a mystery.

There have been films about his life in the past, but TNT is breaking the mold with a series titled Will and based off of the poet’s life. We have to say, it immediately caught our attention.

The narration in the trailer could definitely reflect the plays that Shakespeare wrote, but also the life that we know so little of. With quotes like ‘Better to die on our feet than to live on our knees’ and ‘The time has come for us to fight for what we believe in’, it’s clear that Shakespeare had passion far beyond his talent. He had a passion and zest for life and living it right.

‘Money, power, greatness, you see…it’s all just theater’

It feels almost wrong to describe it more in words, seeing it all play out in front of you is sensational, but we absolutely have to talk about the cast!

Newcomer Laurie Davidson will star as Shakespeare and his performance, from what we’ve seen, is captivating. Olivia DeJonge is playing the lead female role and alongside Laurie and Olivia, we’ll see Colm Meaney, Mattias Inwood, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Jamie Campbell Bower, and Ewen Bremner.

The series will premiere on TNT July 10th and it’s slated for a 10 episode first season, be sure to tune in and see the series that aims to piece together the lost years of Shakespeare’s life.
