Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman is teaming back up with Infinity War directors Joe and Antony Russo for a new movie that’s not Marvel! Variety reports that the reunion is all for an action-thriller titled 17 Bridges. The project marks the 4th collaboration for Boseman and the Russo’s who all worked together on Captain America: Civil War, Infinity War and the upcoming Avengers 4. While Boseman will star in the film, the Russo’s will be producing under their new company Agbo.
From STX Films (Molly’s Game) 17 Bridges follows Boseman as “a disgraced NYPD detective who, after being thrust into a citywide manhunt for a cop killer, is given a shot at redemption.” Joining the Russo’s as producers are Boseman’s partner Logan Coles and Mike Larocca. Brian Kirk (Game of Thrones, Luther) will direct a script written by Adam Mervis with production beginning in September.

Their unique and intelligent approach to filmmaking is anything but formulaic, and with Brian Kirk at the helm directing, this film promises to go beyond the typical popcorn fare,” STXfilms chairman Adam Fogelson said.[/row]
Coming up for STX films is the new Lauren Cohan and Mark Whalburg film Mile 22, which has already received a sequel, as well as Muscle starring Vin Diesel and an untitled Dave Bautista action-comedy, and two Jason Statham films.
Boseman has had some pretty notable roles on the big screen in addition to Black Panther, including Jackie Robinson in 42 and Thurgood Marshall in Marshall. Of course, he was most recently seen in Marvel’s latest Avnegers film, Infinity War and will appear in the final installment Avngers 4 next year.
Having studied Media & Writing at James Madison University, I always knew that I wanted to do some type of creative writing, but being able to write about zombies, Starks, and superheroes on a daily basis for Fan Fest is my actual dream. While I probably shouldn’t be as proud as I am to be so similar to Nick Miller, I do hope to one day write my own “Pepperwood Chronicles’.
